BSP and BMAP to strengthen partnership

The Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP) officers and Board of Directors met with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Felipe Medalla to talk about areas of collaboration to further strengthen its long-standing partnership. In the meeting, BMAP shared its plans and ongoing programs, and assured the BSP of its continuing full support to promote the welfare of the industry and the banking public.
BSP and the BMAP have been jointly promoting financial education and inclusion among Filipinos, the youth and students through various programs such as Banking On Your Future, BSP Reaches Out (Project BRO), BSP Annual Financial Education Expo and information campaigns to protect and educate the general banking public on cyber security, ATM fraud, secure use of electronic banking among others.
BMAP, with 35 member banks and associate members, also seeks to elevate the practice of bank marketing and communication through membership and public education, industry collaboration, collective participation and by providing recognition to outstanding brand and marketing campaigns and projects of financial institutions through the BMAP Bank Marketing Awards.
The Governor met with BMAP 2022 officers led by its President Mai Gacilo Sangalang of Standard Chartered Bank (3rd from left, seated), joined by BSP Deputy Governor for Financial Supervision Sector Chuchi Fonacier (5th from left, seated) and Senior Assistant Governor Edna Villa (not in photo).
