2010 BMAP Mini-Convention on Social and Media Networking

The Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP) held this year’s mini-convention with the theme: “Social and Media Networking: The New Power Channel” last May 7 at Ascott Hotel, Makati.

Speakers from Yahoo!, Fast Track Solutions and Globe Business discussed digital and social media as a new marketing tool for banking institutions in the country. Yahoo! Philippines Sales Manager Mike Constantino and Yahoo! Southeast Asia senior community manager Jonas del Rosario discussed the digital landscape and social media trends in the country. Fast Track Solutions director for international business John Tulagan presented the new technologies in banking automation while Globe Business digital marketing head Dindo Marzan expounded on digital marketing as a new and effective platform for banking institutions to reach their target market. The BMAP members were further enlightened on the different viral approaches for their bank’s marketing campaigns in a discussion led by former BMAP president Alex Escucha.

The mini-convention was well-attended by BMAP members and officers of the different banking institutions which provided the association’s members with useful information to further their bank’s current marketing programs.
