BMAP’s 5th Badminton Cup
Shedding their corporate attire for their sporting gear, bankers from over 15 banks trooped to the Yonex Badminton Courts in Mandaluyong City for the 5th Annual Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP) badminton tournament last July 19. Dubbed as “Smash Attack,” the annual event drew hundreds of badminton players & enthusiasts from the banking industry following the adage “Work hard but play harder.” Raffle prizes were also given away to all participants courtesy of the event’s sponsors.
At the end of the day-long tournament, Citibank emerged as the champion for the Platinum Cup level for the third year in a row, followed by 1st Runner-up RCBC and 2nd Runner-up Union Bank. Metrobank came out on top of the Gold Cup level, with Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) in second place and Allied Bank in third place. The event was co-presented by Globe Business, and sponsored by Business Mirror, Prime Asia magazine, Inquirer, Universal Robina Corp., Fish & Co., and Astoria Plaza.
It’s a three-peat for Citibank, who emerged as Champion in the Platinum Cup level, for the third year in a row.
