Message from Governor Tetangco
The officers and members of the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP), colleagues in the banking industry, special guests. Good morning! I am pleased that BMAP has chosen a challenging and exciting theme for this year’s Bank Marketing Summit: Breakthroughs & Break Through.
To me, this signifies a strong commitment to raise the bar of service to bank clients; to set the pace for responsive… and responsible…marketing; to be more innovative and efficient in the way you communicate….and LISTEN…to your clients; and to incorporate social responsibility objectives in your marketing programs.
You must realize that I have high expectations insofar as the BMAP is concerned. I will explain why.

Welcome to the new improved BMAP website!
Although we in BMAP are technically competitors, we are all faced with the same challenges not only from our bosses and boards, but from our clients themselves.
From the way things look, the year 2008 will be a very tough & demanding one for all bank marketing professionals. With the somewhat improved economy, the people that we all serve, the Banking public has become more discerning and demanding of the best possible financial services, not only because of rate shopping and customer relations but more and more, its now value-added features and banking convenience. Competition has further intensified, if that’s at all possible. I’ve heard that ad bookings and inquiries have gone up significantly this year for banks.
